The wedding rings are cheap...It is the engagement ring that is expensive. In answer to your question, yes, there are men who get married without getting their fiance an engagement ring.

None that I know of. Unless the woman demands an expensive ring, they don't have to spend a lot. If she really loves him, she will be happy with what he can get at the time.
