He founded the Moody Blues(with Michael Pinder), he founded Wings(with Paul McCartney), he's had a lengthy and varied solo career, his song-writing style is honest and truthful, he's got 'dirty roots' firmly grounded in the rock/r&b background but still experiments and expands his music to modern standards, his output of songs eclipses everyone he's ever worked with(except Sir Paul), he's easily one of the most under-rated performers that ever survived the 60's...is he one of your faves?

His phrasing is instantly recognizable.

And from time to time, I'll hear from a
different guitarist, a lick or chop or
segment of notes whose flow is pure
Denster, and I'll turn into this 10 year old
for a minute or three, going on about
how lamentably underrated he is.

Like the phrasing in "I Can't Tell You Why,"
by Don Felder. Parts of it are so perfectly
exemplary as per fitting a solo or little run
within a song.

Brian May is right along in that school with
Denny. Pure, sweet and immeasurable
on the human scale.
