The only kid author I can think of is Gordon Korman. Well, he's old now, but in the seventies his books were published that he wrote before he graduated high school. Some of the titles are I Want to Go Home, Go Jump in the Pool, The Zuckinni Warriors, and The War With Mr. Wizzle. He's hilarious and even though his books are for 12 year olds, I still love them as a grown adult.
