Wow...this is a very good question.
Hmmm...let's see.
FALL has this kind of fealing of deepness. It feels like a spark of light diving deep under a pool of love and just enjoying the surprises with it.
Also, FALL reminds me of the lovely colourful season. Where all the leaves change colour. Just like Love? It's like, when the leaves change colour, Love is growing and changing your persepctive of it.
And plus...if you say...I stumbled in love, or I tripped in love...it sounds like a mistake.
And LOVE...my friend...is never a mistake. It just takes time to realize it.

Because 'stumble' and 'trip' denote there being some obstacle to the collision between you and the ground. With love, it's pretty much a straight plummet.

Because if you stumble or trip, you can can usually catch and upright yourself before falling. Love is sneaky, it pushes from behind. Lol. Love isn't logical, it is a leap, or if you will, fall ,of faith. Blessings on you.

the first thing that came to mind stuck... and to stumble or trip usually blames fault for either the tripper for being an a$$ or the trippee/stumbler for not watching where they were walking. To fall requires no blame.

Because you are free falling. Arms extended wide to help you glide, head held high and eyes closed. This a fall with joyful abandon. No one expects to crash, but to glide forever. It is a leap of faith.
