Depending on the state you live, most will consider you an adult because you have a child. Shame on your husband for leaving you with a baby. You are so young and he knew better.

When you are married that young you have emancipated yourself from your parents automatically. The problem here is with a child and excuse me for saying this, still being a child yourself you will need to prove to the court system that you can take care of yourself and the child before they will allow you to be a caretaker for you and your child. Your parents never should allowed you to get married so young. Pregnant or not. That is a lot for you to go though at such a young age. What I would do is try to move back in with my parents or so kind of immediate family member. Good Luck!

You won't need a legal guardian. You are already considered an adult. You will need to get an attorney so you can get child support and alimony from your ex husband. You probably will need to move back home if possible because I don't know what kind of job you can get at 17 to support yourself and a child. I hope you plan on getting your high school diploma if you haven't already.

Who are your parents that let you marry someone who took advantage of an underage child? Regardless, at this point you have to deal with an attorney and child support services. You cannot possibly deal as an adult with these circumstances and may have to give up your child to a caring adult family. You were allowed to create an impossible situation by very poor parenting. Your child cannot be allowed to suffer for it.

I don't think so. Contact your attorney and ask him.
