Short story. Some chick was "hitting" on my brother in law, he made the mistake of bragging to my sister. She got upset and told this chick he was married. They went to seperate corners and he was going into detail of what "happened". My sister went over to the chick and was just going to tell her that she should leave married men alone and this chick came up off of the stool and started to throw punches. Security came and they took chick outside and my sister to a different area. The dude that was out with chick came back and said she wanted to file charges, my sister said she'd file charges as well. Dude came back and said she'd changed mind. They both had to sign a form from the casino, she thought, banning them both. My sister now finds out she signed something saying she was the aggresser and now chick is pressing charges. My sisters lawyer is telling her to plead guilty. I told her no. This could lead to chick pressing more charges and she may be denied employment in the future?

Her lawyer supposedly asked about security tape. She said he was told that it was over 30 days and not available any longer.

First off she should have read the document before signing it.

That being said she should prob look at getting a new lawyer. I am sure the casino has security footage and she should be able to get here hands on it through a good lawyer to show she was defending herself.

If she can not get the tape she might have a tough time winning. she still might be able to file charges I hope it works out good luck

The court device has replace into so slowed down with inconsequential trials over those final 20 years and it expenditures the taxpayers and the state a huge quantity of money each and each time a guy or woman pleads not to blame and needs a court trial. everyone stepping into the previous the decide can in many cases assume a lighter sentence in basic terms to loosen up their calendars. In my very own opinion each and every citizen ought to spend a minimum of sometime of their time in a court in basic terms to get a lifelike thought of what varieties of circumstances pass for the time of the device and how confusing the Judges and their artwork stress artwork.

Perhaps the "security" were really undercover police officers who blatantly violated your sister's Miranda rights by having her sign a confession admitting guilt to the crime.

Your sister needs a new lawyer and perhaps a different persepctive in this case - assuming that the facts are true.
