Does anyone know an affordable but nice daycare in Bergen county, New Jersey or New York City for a 6 week old?

Thank you. I do not feel guilty going to work because it will give my baby a happy life. As for family me and my boyfriend moved from California to New Jersey for jobs in New York so there isn't any family here.

I don't know of any, but don't let these people tell you you are a bad mom for putting your baby in daycare and not with a relative or being a stay at home mom. You do what you have to do and love your baby when you're home. Sometimes family members are a lot worse than daycare workers. Go and visit a bunch before you make a decision so you dont have to pick one last minute. Make sure theres a small teacher to child ratio and that they are picked up a lot. If your child seems comfortable with the teachers I'd say go with that because they know what makes them happy. Try to get some suggestions on daycares but in the end go visit some and see. I had a suggestion from a friend and my 2 year old stood there and wouldn't play. We went to another daycare and he loved it so we picked it! I know yours is a lot smaller but you'll know when shes happy and comfortable. Home daycares have their ups and downs too as does having a neighbor or fmaily member watch your child so she can get a lot of attention and alone time. Good luck mommy!

look in the yellow pages and call and get quotes on them all.
then go and LOOK at them and observe them more than once before you bring your child there
