I love the herbs. Basil is an annual that does well in sunlight and can be cut for salads with tomatoes every night. As perennials you can get thyme, sage, rosemary and chives. They grow fast and have a taste that dried store stuff can't match. The thyme is tough enough that you can plant it in between paving stones and walk on it leaving a great aroma behind when you step directly on it.

I love my Roma Tomato plants. Make a sandwich with fresh basil from the garden and a sliced up tomato add in a little olive oil and a mozz....mmmm delicious.

My favorite thing to grow is squash. Squash plants mature quickly and produces a lot of squashes. My squash patch is enough to feed the family and neighbors. I have different varieties of squash plants.
I am growing many kinds of vegetables, but I like to grow squash.

I like tomatoes, you can eat them so many different ways, either fresh in salads or cooked in spaghetti or chili.
I prefer Roma, but I grow a lot of varieties, big heirloom, cherry, yellow pear,red pear or large lemon.

Armenian and persian cucumbers, basil, pineapple sage. different mint(only grow them in pots). Exotic melons, and exotic winter squash.
