Well, since you asked, I walked by a homeless person last week. I have been unemployed for 7 months and have nearly no money at all. I've been trying to get a job, but I have been told I am overqualified to work for even Blockbuster, which is where I was.
A man I passed who was sitting on the wall near Blockbuster asked if I had a dollar to give him. I had three dollars in my pocket and I told him I didn't have any money. I went around the corner and then thought, I just told this man a lie. I went back around the corner and gave him one of my three dollars.
I told him I didn't know I had a dollar in my pocket, but I knew I did, but I really needed it. However, I had three and he apparently had none. I gave it to him because it was the right thing to do. I had three times his wealth and giving him a third was the human thing to do.
I am still unemployed, but I feel good that I gave him a part of what I had. I am ashamed that I lied to him, but I hope I made it good by sharing what little I had.

This crack head tried to rob this lady. He kept advancing on her, so I walked up asked what was going on? He then pulled out a "bum shank" and said he didnt want any trouble but for her to give him her purse.
I kicked him in the chest with the heel of my foot, he fell.
The lady ran. And I spit on him and went back in the store to get some cigarettes.

Everyday. Things like open doors for people, buy an extra sandwich at the deli and give it to a person who looks like they need it, on my way home, help older people w/ their groceries if they need it, or grab stuff on the higher shelf. Little things make a difference. They all give you the brightest smile. ^^

Actually yeah and recently too. Yesterday, my cranky boss lost her husband to cancer. Even though I don't generaly get along with her, I was there for her today while she was crying. I was even hugging her. It was completely amazing..I couldn't beleive I was doing that for her.
