Well, if the crickets are too hungry, they might bite the reptile inside and cause bleeding and injuries.
Or, if the crickets are totally aware of provided cricket food, there's a good chance they won't harm the reptile one teeny bit.

If you're afraid of crickets nibbling on your reptiles you can put a couple of pieces of dog food in the tank and the crickets will eat it instead of your pets.

Crickets can nibble on the reptile while it's sleeping and cause sores in the skin.

The majority of all restaurants are required to throw it away for legal reasons. They don't want to be responsible if someone that they gave the food to got sick. As an employee we could get in trouble if we tried to give it to the homeless hanging around (we would sneak it to them anyway). Sad, isn't it?

i know exactly why they say that because it happened to my lizzard its because if your lizared is small enough the crickets that it did not eat will think that they over powered the lizard and go look for food in the cage and if they find a sleeping lizard they will try and eat it and if they get through the skin before the lizard wakes up it will die
