I believe... I have a strange story to back it up.
I am a nanny for a little girl. Her parents are rarely home and one day a couple springs ago, we decided to plant a flower and veggie garden. We planted mostly lilies but also daisies, tulips, lavender and sunflowers. A few months ago now we were outside tending to the garden when I noticed Sydney ( the little girl) was staring curiously at one lily. She was so focused and her eyes were just boring down into this flower. It was almost creepy. I asked her what she was looking at and she didn't speak or loose eye contact, but motioned me over. As I walked over beside her, she motioned me to kneel down. So i did, but my stupid knees cracked as i was almost down next to her. I saw a stream of yellow light so fast i was knocked over backwards. I was so confused! I asked Sydney what it was... she told me, and these were her exact words, " I saw a little person." That was all.
So after that strange incident, I had no doubt that it was a faerie. I've always believed... but this is made it all more clear.

People and cultures all over the world believed (and still believe) in fairies. Fairies can still be found living among us today. Here is an excerpt from my journal after a 1997 encounter with The Little People (Fairies): "understand that our world and the fairy world co-exist and share the same space. There are certain places . . . where the veil that separates these dimensions can be pierced. It’s like knowing a hidden picture is on a page—the picture is hidden because the arrangement of color, shapes and images makes it very difficult to see. But then you put on a pair of red glasses—and all of a sudden you see the image clearly. As you (can) see, the image had always been there. And even after you take the glasses off—and you won’t be able to see the image—you know with certainty that the image is indeed really there. With the Little People it was a green lens, so to speak. There we were on hands and knees, kneeling before a flower . . . offering tobacco, milk and sweet cakes. . .singing the Little People Song and believing with all our heart that they were there. And then it happened. Like a beautiful green lens was (placed) over our eyes, enabling us to see what has always been."

Check out places near waterfalls, brooks, fallen trees, old growth forests, rocks (glacial deposits) and places where cedar & birch grow together. Because there are so many different kinds of fairies/little people, educate yourself about them: read as many legends and personal accounts as you can. Approach with reverence. Good luck.

I tend to hang in a "tougher crowed" than what is good for fairies...but I believe they exsist.

I'm so used to seeing a lot of 'stuff' that I don't know that I've paid attention for them. I know a couple who've been born in (i.e. currently have bodies walking the planet)...took me a bit to figure it out when all I kept seeing around one of them is dwarves.

I would imagine they would be spotted just like anything else "physically challenged"; use your peripheral vision...it also might help if you could ask them if it were alright or would they mind being visible.

Another possibility is take pictures when you're trying to see them; the camera works much faster than your eye...this is how we catch orbs and such in a photo but can't actually 'see' them.

never seen a fey but you ever hear of the goddess rhiannon? technically she's qualified and i had a vision of her once before i kenw how the legends described her.

how do you see them though? well the legedns say that you can see through fey magic and spot them out of the corner of your eye, or if you're in an atural toadstool circle on a full moon, or if you look through a rock with a natural hole in it.
also if you want to attract them to your home leave out saucers of milk and honey, and sweet biscuits (like honey cakes, home made of course) out and ask them to watch over you and your house. and make sure you thank them!

you can also try communicating with dryads, they're usually pretty personable, find an old tree, like an old old oak or willow. sit down with oyur back against the tree and 'ground' your energies and then just relax focussing on the tree. hold a question in your head like "is there a spirit present" if you get a feeling in your gut or feel otherwise different it's a yes and you can try to communicate with the dryad like this. in time you can actually develop a friendship with them and they will bring you luck and watch out for you. just the same you should take care of the tree that provides the dryad's home

hope that helps you out . if you have any other questions feel free to email me ^_^

On nights when it's kinda cloudy, when the moon is playing hide and seek with the clouds, fairies can be spotted flitting around on the ground. I know i see them all the time.

You can see them out of the corner of your eye
However if you move to quick they are gone
Best thing to do is nothing don't move : )

I've read that you can also come outside and politely ask them to flush out.
