standard solution mean a solution of known volume or concentration
we can prepare a standard solution by any amount or any volume but only thing is that u know the volume and amount
concentration is measured in three units molarity molality and normality
so for ethanoic acid first u should know the amount u entered of ethanoic acid in any solvent
becuase molarity and molality is always in solution ( i.e can be found only b/w more than one substances) although normality is a different thing if u want i can explain

A standard solution is one in which you know the concentration. You prepare one by adding the proper amount of what you want, usually to water, to get the right concentration.
