I am using a money order to pay for an ebay item. The seller has asked that I sign the order. I have never had to sign one before, usually there isn't even a place on the slip to do so. Do I sign or not? Thanks.

Money Order(MO) purchase thru an Canadian Insitution will have buyer's name imprinted on the front of the order, so your cheque won't be lost but the banker must ask you to sign the MO before their eyes.

But when mail it out, make sure you keep the receipt portion of the MO and ask for refund if really necessary.

Most money orders have a place on the FRONT to sign the same as you would if you wrote a check.

It is like a check, but everyone knows the funds are there. Yes, you have to sign it. Other wise, someone may forge your name.
