I like J.J. Hardy but think having him on the All-Star team is a total joke. Agree or Disagree?

Completely agree. He is batting .280 with 18 HR and 54 RBI. Those are pretty good stats but I believe three other shortstops out there are more deserving.

There is Philadelphia Phillies' Jimmy Rollins who is batting .286 with 16 HR and 54 RBI but he does have 15 stolen bases and 71 runs scored. Hardy only has 48 runs scored and no stolen bases.

Another shortstop is Edgar Renteria from the Atlanta Braves. He is batting .319 with 10 HR and 45 RBI. He also has 8 stolen bases and 56 runs scored. These stats may not be better than Hardy's but Edgar Renteria has been more consistent while Hardy had a hot start and is now dying off.

Last but not least is Hanely Ramirez. He is batting .331 with 14 HR and 35 RBI. On top of that is 70 runs scored and 27 stolen bases.

Nothing against J.J. Hardy but these three shortstops are more deserving then him.

I totally agree with you.
Hardy is definately deserving but the Braves' Edgar Renteria, Marlins' Hanley Ramirez, and the Phillies' Jimmy Rollins definately deserve to go over him.
I think maybe even Troy Tulowitzki of the Rockies deserves to go over him because Hardy has more RBI's and HR's but Tulowitzki gets on base more, hits for a better average, and scores more runs which is what you want out of a guy who hits in the 1 or 2 hole. It's pretty nice having a guy like Hardy driving in runs at the top of the order but I'd much rather have a guy like Troy there getting on base and letting guys like Holliday, Helton, and Hawpe driving him in.
But that's that, the fans obviously want him in, and while I disagree with it, it comes down to these 2 things:
1. It's the fans' game and this is what they decided.
2. The A.L. always wins so it really doesn't matter, and I'm not just being biased, they literally do win every time.

He obviously was the player's choice (or the players second choice behind Reyes), but it makes me wonder when the players voted. Hardy had that great start and that must of been the time.

Because, though I like Hardy too, it is hard to justify placing him above Edgar Renteria or Hanley Ramirez, and probably not even Jimmy Rollins.

J.J is great but he doesn't deserve to go over Edgar Rentaria

Troy Tulowitski in Colorado is a better all round player in my opinion...also Rookie of the Year.
