You can't speed it up. You'll get it when your body is ready (and not a minute sooner). It doesn't matter when your relatives got it. You will get it only when your body believes that it could support a pregnancy. Don't worry some girls don't get it until they are 16 (or older).

The hormones that control a woman's period are fat based. That means if you have an abnormal weight than you will most likely have an irregular cycle or even no cycle at all. I am only 5'3'' and I weigh more than you, and I'm at a normal weight. I would say you are too skinny and do not have enough fat buildup to keep up your hormones therefore you have not yet gotten your period. Try talking to your parents and/or doctor about your weight and this whole situation. However, don't panic because girls can get there periods as late as 16. Just watch your weight. Eat a fulfilling, balanced diet and make sure your eating enough. Hope I helped!!

You are underweight for an adult woman of your height, which may have something to do with it. If your body fat is too low, you won't get a period. However, if your doctor isn't concerned about your weight, then don't stress over it. Some people do develop later, and fourteen is still within the normal time frame. As long as you're healthy overall, and your parents and doctors aren't concerned, I'd wait a year or two before I'd start to worry.

First of all, don't feel left out. Believe me, once it comes, you will look back and wish you still didn't have it. It ain't all fun and games.

Secondly, it seems that you may be a little too skinny for your height. This can affect other things too, such as periods, etc.

I would go see a doctor just to be sure everything is okay and they can also tell you what else to expect.

You're only 100 lbs and 5'7"? O_O

Do you exercise a lot? Take part in a sport, maybe? Because that's the only possible reason I can think of why you would be so dangerously underweight. But there's no doubt in my mind that THAT is the reason why you have not had your period yet, and not your age.

You'd better see your doctor.

It's not weird. It's perfectly normal. Some girls don't get them until they're 16. There's no possible way to 'speed things up'. Don't worry about it, in fact, your friends probably figure you're lucky. It's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about though. :)

Are you really thin? Because I am also 5'7 but I weigh like 140. Underweight women usually do not have a period.

you might want to see the doctor. 100 lbs sounds extremly skinny for someone 5'7. It might have something to so with your weight or lask there of.
