Robert de Niro and Al Pacino spring to mind as late career losers. A lot of comedians seem to start as so so actors (or just doing so so films) Jim Carrey is fantastic now, especially in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. George Clooney is getting better, as is Matt Damon.

well Jean-Claude Van Damme might not be the best actor, but for a while, every movie he was in was a big blockbuster hit, Kickboxer, Bloodsport, Lionheart, etc. But now, if he's in a movie, it goes straight to dvd. Visa Versa, Edward Norton is really starting to hit it off really well i think. I think Fight Club really boosted his career up and now he's making the Hulk movie. He's one of my favorite actors.
