I remember when I got pregnant (8 years ago), the positive showed up right along with the control line. I used Clear Blue Easy. Do you really have to wait the allotted time?

Yes, wait the amount of time it says. However, I was like you. With my first son, the moment the urine hit the little window, lines started popping up all over the place. It literally took 10 seconds to get a positive result. With my second pregnancy, it did take a couple minutes before the "positive" lines showed up. With my third pregnancy... same as my first. It popped up almost immediately. The ones that showed up so fast both turned out to be boys and my daughter was the "tease". lol Maybe boys produce more hormonal changes in my body than girls do. lol

Well I waited 30-40 minutes. I actually stood around with my stick discussing to friends about getting a refund because nothing showed up. We kept checking and after all that time a line appeared! I was pregnant. Must have needed thinking time lol.

It's best to wait the amount of time suggested in the instructions (which differs for different tests). That's the best way to get the most accurate reading. I knew someone who took a test once and it was negative. She didn't throw it away and found it a couple weeks later with a positive result. Of course, she wasn't pregnant. So it's always best to follow the company's instructions.

It may or may not show up that fast. Depends on the sensitivity of the test and the amount of HCG in your urine.

But you should expect to wait up to 3 minutes for a result, and don't read the test after 10-15 minutes, due to the occurrence of evaporation lines.

My first test was 7dpo and it took 4 minuites for the very faint line to show up. A week later, when I missed my period, I took another just to check the line, and it was positive before the control line even showed.

It has shown up immediately for me each time that I had already missed my period (didn't take it early with an ept) and the pregnancy didn't end in miscarriage. Depends on the levels of hcg in your system and how sensitive the test is. Some of the generic cheaper ones don't give as strong of a line for example.

For me it showed up almost immediately. I used a generic brand and clear blue and it was the same for both. I did wait, however, the full time just to be sure.

my line showed up within like 30 seconds!! I was definitely pregnant!! On my negative results, I always make sure to wait the full time, but positives always show up really quickly for me!

Sometimes depending on how far along you are as to how much of the hormone is in you system it can read positive right away. for a negative I would wait the entire time to be sure.

For me it showed up right away, but it is probably best to wait the allotted time just to be sure.
