Real bad idea.
* The difference in weight of the volume of gas contained in your tires is so small as to make no measurable difference in performance. - You'd get a bigger performance boost out of going to the bathroom before driving off.
* Hydrogen will diffuse out of your tires faster than air or nitrogen.
*Hydrogen will react more to tire heat than air or nitrogen causing higher variation in pressure with warm up.

First of all, the weight loss would be so negligible as to make no difference. However, as helium is less dense than oxygen it also has less capacity to carry away heat from the tread and you might find, over a period of time, that the tires wore out more quickly because of a somewhat higher operating temperature.

Hey, heres an idea, why don't you try it and then you would know for sure. Make sure you get the car weighed before you try and again after you try. Make sure you have the same amount of gas in the tank also. Gas does weigh alot. Post us some pictures after. One thing to make sure of first, made sure without a doubt that you have filled out your last will and testament first. Have a nice day.

If you filled your tires with nitrogen to the proper tire pressure and kept them at the correct pressure you would get more fuel mileage. If you put hydrogen in them your car would be sitting on four bombs.

no the amount of lift would be about 3 pounds plus the small size of the molecules means that the tires would leak down quickly

dude, either someone is pulling your leg or you really are that stupid. i mean your last question, come on. you check the air in the tires once a week to see if they are up to the correct pressure. you dont change the air. and filling them with hydrogen....come on......

NO It would just replace the air and the tire would wear accordingly to your driving hope this helps
