my mouse quit working and was wondering if there was any other way to hook up the mouse besides the port in is to go in.

i brought a new and that doesnt seem to work either. my computer is a older model not a standing up tower but one that is sflat and the moniter sits on it has windows 98 though

Just buy a new one, they are so cheap. I always try to keep a few spares for my 5 desktops.

Depends, some mouses where you can plug in into the USB port OR the ps/2 port., but if it only has one, then buy a new one, get a laser mouse

reboot your computer, just shut it down and start it back up. That works most of the time. However, if it is an old computer, it may be a very bad sign to let you know the drive is getting ready to say bye bye.
but i think rebooting it will do the trick for ya.

Try blowing into the cord of the mouse or try restarting your computer

If those don't work I think you'll have to buy a new mouse

Check the connection first. Make sure it is secure and then re start your workstation. If it still doesn't work, get another, they aren't expensive

make sure its plugged in correctly...if it is then just get a new one...it will save you the hassle
