You definitely need to wait on the test. First, because it's too soon, and second, because if you took an HCG trigger, taking a test too early will show a positive, but only because of the HCG trigger for ovulation! You don't want to get a false positive from that trigger.
In general, it takes 1.5 days for each 1,000ius of HCG trigger to clear your system. If you took a 10,000iu trigger, you need to wait 15 days until you've had that shot to test and expect an accurate true positive.
Good luck!

I am in the same boat, I am 9 dpo and took an HPT and it was neg. this am. I know it's too early but I went to the dollar tree and bought 6 tests b/c I said what the hell I can buy 6 and it is still cheaper than buying some of the others. Good luck, are you having any symptoms? I am not having any, but I have read you don't have to have any to be pregnant.

I know it's hard but 7 dpo is still too early for hpts to be accurate. If you are really dying to know, call up your obgyn and have her/him give you a blood test. Most hpts will not work until 18 dpo. Good luck and lots of baby dust!!

Yeah, wait another week. I know its hard! You can take a test like a day or two before you are suppose to start your period. Just get an early detection test like First Response. Good luck though!!

It depends on the pregnancy test. We bought the kind that you can use five days before you expect your period and we wasted so much money because the kept coming out negative. I know it is difficult to wait when you are so excited, but I think it is worth waiting.

I got a positive result 7dpo using a very sensitive test. The line was very faint though. I'd say take a test, but if it's negative don't worry, just take another one in a couple of days.
