Well, you see, that's where you and I differ....I don't look at someone anywhere and say "gee he is Arabic looking" - and I don't say "gee, that looks like "Islamic" clothing (?) he's wearing".
I am not a racist, nor a bigot, nor am I fearful of those different from me. I don't believe the politics of fear my government is trying shove down my throat.
Of course, I don't live in Podunk either.
I live in an area of the country where diversity is everywhere....nobody pays attention to a turban or a jilabah or a beard or the color of ones skin or the accent one might have.
I guess in the hinterlands of the swamps, differences are scary.

I think what I always think. I wonder where that person is from and I hope they don't have to suffer the embarrassment of being profiled even tho that is said to not happen. I'm Mexican-American and have had to deal with airport security so I can only imagine what scrutiny they are under.

Well, im a muslim. And if i weren't muslim, i'd think nothing bad. i mean, not every arab person is a terrorist. It's these EXTREME type of muslims that create all the problems. i know many people will think of "terrorist", but thats just discrimination and ignorance. you wouldn't assume that the african-american person in the grocery store will rob the clerk, so why should you think the arab person is a terrorist? well, maybe .5 percent i'd think the person is a terrorist, unless if he was acting suspicious

The clothing doesnt matter. I think we all remember 911 and if it had been chinese guys we would keep an eye on chinese guys, if it was white dudes then we would watch white dudes and I wouldnt get offended if I was profiled cause I'd want everyone to keep an eye out for crazy white dudes. Honestly terrorist...i havent forgot.God Bless.

If they're not on my flight I don't give it a second thought. In spring 2002 I was flying from Houston to Dallas and this arab guy in the departure lounge was fidgeting all over the place with a stack of papers he had and just plain acting weird, tons of anxiety. I think no less than 5 people never took their eyes off of him on that flight.

That the person should be applauded for not giving in to the mass irrational hysteria, and sympathy for the fact that they are likely to endure significant racial prejudice through no fault of their own.

Why would they put up with this harassment? And I hope they didn't get the full cavity search.
