Go to Google or Wikipedia. Also go to Amazon.com (or your local library) and check out any books by David Clay Large, a historian whose specialty is modern German history.

Keep in mind that Germany wasn't called Germany up until the mid 19th century when Otto von Bismarck unified the country in 1871.

Germany did not exist as a unified nation before the 19th century. You also want to do searches on the Germanic states, Prussia, Frederic the Great, and the Holy Roman Emperor. Oh, and throw in Martin Luther for good measure.

Germany was devided into many states during the napoleonic era,there are Naussau,prussia,Saxony,brunswick,wertumburg take a look at the link it got all about german history and there is anciant german tribes and all those!
