Hmmm... The Republicans arguably have been deemed the social gathering that confounded the custom of State's Rights and enacted particular federal authority that affected human beings to right this moment (integration, slavery)... The political panorama replaced DRAMATICALLY with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. in reality, as a results of political social gathering in potential at that ingredient whilst the Civil Rights Act of 1964 became handed, they have been considered as innovators, achievers, and believers. If the tide had replaced and truly the Republican social gathering became in potential at that ingredient and handed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the political panorama could be dramatically diverse. i could be a Republican. So, my suggestions on minorities balloting Republican... i do no longer care. next question please. :-)

You could come up with some sweeping generalizations, I suppose, but I think it probably has more to do with other demographic factors. Like family ties, economic status, education level, values, and the like. Or, it might have something to do with the large influx of Vietnamese refugees in the 70s, fleeing communism as they were (and, for that matter, Chinese and Koreans have also had commie issues), they might have favored the tougher-on-international-communism rhetoric of the republicans, and passed that preference on to thier children.

Because of the US's involvements in their home countries. For example, I know that many of Vietnamese, especially elderly, are likely to vote for Republican. Well, there is a simple explanation. Back then, the republicans were the one that supported or paid for their government. Just like in Vietnam War, US paid for Vietnam, Laos, Combodia, Thailand and many other countries. So naturally, they just vote for republicans now. However, just ask any of them, you will get the same respond. They have no idea who they vote for or what that person will do for a better America. All they know is that person belongs to the republican party.

Asian-Americans want to be left alone by the government, many of them have seen onhand what havoc big government can wreak (China, Korea, Vietnam). They are totally against the socialist tax-and-spend philosophy of the Democrats. Also, Asian-Americans are family-oriented and highly conservative. (many are homophobes, trust me, it's true) They also pay more attention to the world around them because they have ties internationally, and can see that the Democrats isolationist and anti-war postions are highly unrealistic in the world.

Asians in general have more money than other minorities. They own businesses, have professions & are generally better educated, therefore, they have more to gain from voting Republican.

Because they are the most educated and have the hightest average income of all minority groups. They care about low taxes and things that the GOP cares about. http://www.dryflypolitics.com

I have never met someone of Asian ancestry wanting a handout. They have a sense of pride that I wish more Americans in general would have.

Because Democrats won't address issues that Asians are concerned about. They are too busy pandering to poor black and hispanics. Democrats completely ignore Asians.
