How to clean a heavily crusted cookie sheet?

I was baking a batch of hard dog biscuits for my dog and all of them became stuck to the pan very badly. The recipe did not call for greasing the pan, and that's why I didn't. What should I use to clean the cookie sheet?

I would soak the cookie sheet in baking soda and water for a lonnnng time. Depending on its size, I would either use a sink or a bathtub. A few days would help.

Maybe next time you can spray the cookie sheet first.

I wonder if the dog liked them or not...

I've read that if you soak a pan with stuck-on materials in hot water with a dryer sheet in it, it will loosen the stuff and make it easy to wash off. However, I haven't tried it so I can't say that it works.

I usually fill the sink with HOT water and add some dish soap and let it sit. That will loosen the stuck-on stuff enough for you to wash it off using a little elbow grease.

Good luck, and you might want to consider greasing the pan a little next time you make your dogs treats.

Buy a can of oven cleaner, like Easy Off. Take it outside and lay it on newspapers and spray it really good and let it sit for a few hours and then wash with soap and water.

I use a product called Bar Keepers friend... it's usually next to the ajax and comet...

Sprinkle on with some water to form a paste... Let sit 10 minutes and then scrub with a SOS scouring pad!

You don't say what kind of finish is on the pan(nonstick,
silverstone, etc.) so it's hard to say what you can do to it
without damaging it. But pans aren't that expensive,
so I'd just pitch it and go buy a new one!

Soak it in hot water and get a scrub brush and scrub it using good dish soap. It should come off. If it doesn't I don't think you should be giving your dog that lol.

Just replace it. They are cheap and keep this one for your dog.
