I want to know if a college prep diploma with specialization in technology/career would be the best to have when transitioning from high school and college.

It probably would not hurt to have a HS diploma or GED and having attended one of the major Cooking schools with at least an associate degree or bachelor degree in management.

(Apart from the culinary programs, Le Cordon Bleu is also one of the largest hospitality management education bodies with up to 2000 students studying Bachelor or Masters degrees. They have Masters degrees in France, Japan, Korea and Australia and an on-line gastronomy program. Their Bachelor programs in Hotel Management and Restaurant Management programs are delivered in the U.S., Mexico, Australia, and Korea.)

I usually don't use the above source because of lack of documentation, it's the only one that had any mention of prior education.

all you need is a regular diploma and on the side you need to show interest is the major you wish to study
