read this article about my father that was the cover story from this Sunday's paper. I had no idea he even did this until I got phone calls from ALL of my friends and we can not figure out what to do to help. Any suggestions??? And he can not declare bankruptcy and rely on chapter 13 because he doesn't have the income to prove he can support the house. please, only serious answers that offer real advice. This situation hurts deeply.

This one is a tough one. You are correct that he cannot file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. He may very well be forced to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and liquidate his assets to pay his debts. This really sucks, but it may very well be the only option in this case.
