Someone from his camp stated "Recent polls have shown Giuliani trailing Romney in Iowa and New Hampshire.

"If they exceed expectations, all the better," said GOP consultant Tony Fabrizio. "If they don't, there is nothing lost, because they told everyone they weren't expecting to win anyway."

Ghouliani is just a fart in a whirlwind. He thought he was superman because he just so happened to be the mayor of NY during 9/11.

Tell me what is more important in winning the Republican nomination: Iowa and New Hampshire or California and Florida.

Giuliani is trying to do well in the bigger states where there are far more moderate voters. Anyway, these states have a lot larger population and thus more delegates at the Republican convention.

If I was him, I would not fight to win in Iowa or New Hampshire, but to finish a respectable second or third. Its better to win Florida, California, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, etc... because they are having early primaries also and have more votes at convention.

They're not expecting the win then early caucuses, which is a very different thing. The Caucus system is easily dominated by party hacks, by the 'base,' so a moderate candidate will often have trouble there. The earlier primaries in larger states, like CA, might have more impact this cycle.

Hello,

In the USA, any seasoned politician will realize (very early), if he or she is running for Public Office. His or her possibilities of winning the nomination or vote.

* He or She is expected to get a certain amount of money (in the millions), in order to continue his or her campaign successfully.

If those monies are not forthcoming, to enable him or her to make the necessary Public Appearances, and TV advertisements.

Then that is a sure sign for Him or Her to Throw In The Towel.

And Rudolph Juliani realizes that right now!
