1. It's relatively safe here. You can walk around at night without fear of being mugged.
2. There's less air pollution (unless there's haze coming in from Indonesia).
3. The convenience of a lot of things -- like being able to pay your bills in the post office branches; there's always a food stall somewhere so you'll never go hungry even if you don't cook
4. The efficient mass transportation system -- clean trains which operate til midnight and clean buses
