any ideas what it could be? it feels like ive rubbed orajel but i havent.

Could be a sore or blister. You should get it checked out. Did you accidently bite your lip when you were eating or chewing gum?

Its possible you have a pinched nerve in the area. Do you remember biting the inside of you mouth recently? It could also be Bells Palsy which affects the facial nerves. It usually comes on suddenly and may be caused by a virus. Typically it will run its course but may cause some temporary paralysis. It usually runs it course in about 7 to 10 days. Another possibility could be Ramsey Hunt Syndrome. Symptoms are similar and both are treated with the same medications if necessary. Usually an antiviral medications and a steroid such as prednizone. However you should see a doctor to have this properly diagnosed and for prescriptions of the medication.

if your mouth is numb you needto go to the dr. right away , not the er but when the dr. office is open. it could be a number of things & the longer you put it off the worse it could be , i am serious!!
