Ok try to follow this, I found out I was pregnant on April 15th, spotted on and off borwn blood, I have had a previous miscarraige and tubal so I was concerned, on may 6th I cramped bleed and passed some tissue, nothing like my first miscarraige, but I did figure I miscarried.....anyway, bleed for a week, and it stopped. Still did not get a period after 6 weeks, took a home test came up a slight positive. Posted on this form and found out its not that uncommon to still test positive after 6 weeks. Well it turned into 8 weeks, went to gyn on july 5th, he took a test its a faint positive, and from the exam I am pregnant and no signs of miscarraige, he sent me for quanative blood work. BUT heres my question two days later I had sex, and woke up the next morning bleeding bright red. No cramping, no tissue, very small clots, the same as a period. So do u think its finally a real period after my miscarraige in may? A new pregnancy and Im miscarrying? Im anxious. I have a check up friday.

If ur bleeding then and pregnancy test have said positive after 6 weeks then I'd go to the ER and assume ur having an early miscarriage have them do an ultrasound and see if there is nething in there and if not then assume its ur period.

wow... how terribly confusing! i'm sorry if you did miscarry, as that is kind of what it sounds like to me. :( but some women get their periods all through pregnancy, so that could be the case with you as well. when you have sex during the first trimester (or do anything too active), it's common to bleed afterward. honestly, i think the only thing for you to do right now is wait until your appointment in four days. discuss all of this with your doctor and he should do an ultrasound on you to make sure there is a baby inside of you. and if it's not the baby from april, there may be a new baby. who knows? how awful for you... i would really be pulling my hair out if i didn't know.
also your hcg levels (that cause a pregnancy test to come up positive), don't normally go away for anywhere from 4-8 weeks after having a baby/miscarrying. so it does no good for you to take any tests.
i think the only real thing you can do here is have an u/s done. that should solve any problems/ answer any questions. also maybe abstain from sex.

So many things can happen during a pregnancy and many doctors dont even tell you about it.. It sounds to me that you were just passing old blood back in May, and that everything was fine after that.. However with you bleeding bright red now it could mean a miscarriage or it could mean something else... You really need to get into the doctor or the hospital and see what is going on... I had a blood clot in my uterus when I was pregnant with my daughter, and I bleed bright red and passed small clots.. Everything turned out fine with her.. However I was not allowed to have sex or do anything that could strain my body for the whole pregnancy just to insure I didnt try to pass the whole clot at the same time... Wait for your blood work to come back and be sure to get plenty of rest..It is very important at this time... You will be in my prayers.. Best of Luck I do hope all turns out well for you..

Hmm... so as of July 5th you were pregnant with no signs of miscarriage right? I can't believe they didn't just do an ultrasound to see! Some people spot after having sex when pregnant. I don't know how many weeks you would be, but when I was 12 weeks I had spotting and a few days later I bled bright red blood with no cramping. I had an ultrasound and it showed I was still pregnant and that the placenta was beginning to seperate from the uterus. I went on immediate bedrest and delivered a healty baby boy at 37 weeks. On Friday I would request a ultrasound!!!

Honey, it's blood, and if you're not in labor, or not on your period, it's not supposed to be coming out of you. I hate to seem like the downer, but just because you can still feel your baby kicking, it doesn't mean that everything is OK, I'd call the nurse or your OB and see what they suggest. I doubt there are very few actual doctors on this answers, so If I were you, I'd want an professional's opinion...for your and your baby's sake.

I can't speak to a miscarriage, but I will say that I bled (bright red) after sex in the beginning of my second pregnancy and ended up with a normal pregnancy. Doctor said it had to do with the vascularity of my cervix or something.

I hope it turns out okay for you!

Definitely a good question. I would say it's probably a miscarriage and the only reason I say it is because you said you clotted. Could be that you had a miscarriage and now your period is starting.

Please talk to your doctor about this!
