I'm a frequent dieter and I go to the gym often, but I'm not seeing results quick enough. I'm intrigued by the idea of diet pills. So, what's the scoop on diet pills?

All over the counter diet pills are glorified caffeine pills with a vitamin or two. Its cheaper to have coffee or tea and a multivitamin.
Diet pills that contain Hoodia typically contain a part of the plant that does not contain the active ingredient used to supress appetite.
Water and tea is your best bet.

I personally think diet pills are worthless scams. Doctors can prescribe pills to obese men and women that can help suppress appetite, but those are also worthless if not accompanied by a healthy diet and regular exercise. Besides, I think those pills are for those who have weight problems due to underlying health issues. There is no "quick fix," no matter how you look at it.

You say you aren't seeing results "quick enough." It can take up to 4 weeks to see visible results. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. It takes patience! Even before the four weeks are up, though, you'll start feeling the benefits of more energy, brighter skin, shiny hair, etc. Keep it up! Good luck!

Forget the diet pills. They're not healthy.

Don't think of it as dieting. Think of it as a lifestyle change. Focus on fruit, veggies, and whole grain in your diet, with a little meat and low fat dairy. Drink lots of water, some green tea (not the bottled stuff, real home brewed green tea!), and continue with your exercise routine. You should be getting 30 to 40 minutes a day of cardio and some strengthening, toning, and stretching exercises 3 to 4 times a week.

I promise you if you really do this, you will be healthier, look better, and you'll feel much happier! Please go for it!

From all I heard, even from Doctor's. They are a waste on money, it is best to do what you are doing that is work out and eat right. That is the healthiest, safest way to loose weight. A pound a week, anymore than that is not good.
