In relation to geology, the study of rocks and so forth, Quarternary activities occured during the quarternary period.
Geology uses a time scale composed of eons, eras, periods, and epochs, the quartenary period occured between 0 and 2 million years ago after the tertiary period. I ahve attached a link to a discussion of the geological time scale below.
Quarternary activities then, include things that have happened over the lasdt 2 million years or so and include but are not limited to, soil and sand washing down rivers, landslides, erosion, deposition of sandbanks, etc.

Anything that went on during the Quaternary Period? So anything from 1.8 mya to right now?
