i really believe that people need to be happy with the shape that they have, but i'm 5'8'' and 140. i would say 140 should be a goal for you, but please dont use any drastic methods. exercise regularly, eat right, and lose the pounds that way. i lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks by simply walking an hour every day and eating right. good luck

Do not set a weight goal that is far from where you are now. If you do, you will become discouraged about your speed in reaching it. Instead, control your calorie intake (the old Weight Watchers point list is great in this) and see how you progress. You will hit times where you just sit at a weight no matter what you do. Do not get discouraged. Just keep on and you will find that after a while, there will be another sudden drop in weight. Reward yourself with admiration at each improvement. When you reach the appearance that you like (notice that I did not say weight), change to the maintenance point level. While you are doing all this, I would suggest that you also exercise. No, I do not mean the gym. Walking is a wonderful exercise. You could walk the malls (without stopping for each sign that says "sale" and definitely not stopping at the food courts). The malls are air conditioned so sweating is not a problem. A brisk hour of this a day raises the metabolism level and the calories will continue to burn at a higher rate for a few hours.

Your not fat! 130 lbs. is way to thin for you. If you want to lose a little weight and / or tone up that's healthy, however, if you are trying to lose a dramatic amount of weight you may need to talk to a doctor or counselor.
