dodge avenger dies. I think it is somthing electrical because every thing on the computer had been erased when I checked it with OBD2

Yeah, eventually. Without the alternatot working yer battery will go dead. With no battery you have no spark. With no spark, you have no combustion. and with no combustion, you have nothing. ...Sorry, I got a little carried away with the whole knee bone connected to the shin bone thing.

Take it to your local mechanic and have them look at it. They'll probably run a battery and alternator test. It could be something as simple as a loose connection or you may need a new alternator.

Yes, it will run off battery power until the battery is depleted then die.
