Take it first thing in the morning before you get out of bed. Use a websight for help such as: www.fertilityfriend.com. You get a free trial in the beginning. It doesn't help you conceive really, it tells you after you have ovulated and measures your luteal phase. Have you tried ovulation tests. You can record the results of those at this websight as well. I've been charting for a month now, it's really easy.

You should start writing down your temps on the first day of your next period. Look for a dip in the temp- then a rise of several days. This is how you will know you have ovulated.

www.fertilityfriend.com is a really good site, it will tell you all you need to know and you can record your temps on the site. It will also teach you ways to see when you are most fertile and tells you what days you should have sex.
You are supposed to record temps all month so you can see the pattern.
