Why oh why is everyone so obsessed with so few teams.
I think we should limit the number of foreign players to 3 per team.
Or maybe limit the wage for players.
Then perhaps we could have a more competitive league system. At the moment the top sides buy whomever they please and the quality gap gets wider and wider.
Then we could all support our local side and leave Man U to Mancunians.
I think the premiership has become predictable and boring. And no I don't want to see the best players in the world, I just want to see my team win the cup!

Football has never been about not seeing the best players in the world. In the 60's, 70's and 80's when Liverpool were dominating English football they did with the best players in the world, when Manchester United were doing it in the 90's they were doing it with the best players in the world. So, Im sorry to break the news to you, but you're on your own. I don't see how limiting foreigners or limiting wages is going to help shorten the quality gap between teams. It's up to the crapper teams to better themselves and match up to the better teams. If teams weren't allowed to buy whomever they please they wouldn't do how they do. Whether it's good or bad. Sadly these days it's the foreigners that's making the Premiership what it is but we're going to have to improve the quality of our Englishmen, not alienate foreigners. It's not their fault they're better than us, it's ours and we're going to have to live with that.

1 st most Mancunians support City the United supporters are from Salford or out of town.
but the rest are good points look at Chelsea they have ruined Shaun wright Philips England career by not playing him. they can just buy who they want and stop them playing. salary caps may drive players away unless ints a fifa imposed world wide cap
you cant limit the number of foreign players because it is then classed a racism may be the team can only be worth so much like the the fantasy team thing say each team can only be worth say 150 million? food for thought

The problem is that football is a global industry, in order to compete with the big boys you need the big stars.... at the cost to the national and lower level games, recently England have been dire and we have the most technically gifted squad (aside from the Dutch) in Europe. The problem is these players very rarely play together (except really at Spurs) and therefore cant perform. Maybe we should disband Tottenham and replace all their foreign imports with English National Players and then we'd be killing two birds with one stopne. No more Scummy Spurs and a better International team!

Hey hey hey I may not be a native Mancunian but I've been a Red Devil since I was born, buddy. That's longer then some Mancunians themselves!

So basically you want the EPL to be some boring crap old English league with no cool talent? errr..

What's wrong with having foreign players? Man Utd has a LOT of English players just so you know... but with the foreign players as well. I don't see anything wrong with that, the EPL is one of the biggest leagues, of course it's going to have loads of foreign players...

Anyways, if I was raised to love West Ham them I'd love West Ham but I was raised a Red Devil.. why does it bother you so?

you can't blame the clubs for having money to spend. the reason talented players opt for them is because they offer more $$ and benefits. they have families to support and their ambitions are high. if they opt to stay at a lesser club for the sake of playing non attractive football and getting low wages, that's for them to decide. the only thing the lower clubs have to do is to improve their standards in the premiership or risk being drop into the lower division. hey, even the big clubs started from scratch. the only diff is they have consistency and really motivated players!

anyway, if ur team can't compete with the big boys, go to the lower division la...

agree with you totally the prem has become as predictable and boring as the scottish league, i have stopped watching any games these teams are involved in and only watch when they are playing my team. the TV companys could help by toning down the blanket coverage of "the big four" at least give other clubs more air time, i mean was there anything more boring than lfc v cfc or mufc v cfc. they could do us all a favour and join this so called European super league and bore the s**t out of the rest of Europe instead of us.

i dont think so. just get another league for the less good teams. i like to see forieng players. it gives the league diversity. and a lot of the time the foreigns are the best in the world. its fun to watch the power house teams go at it. or soccer could just completly change and just draft players like in north american hockey and (american)football

Football has just become another boring soap opera.

When a player with real talent emerges, the big clubs snap them up and coach any individuality out of them.

There is no intellectual input into the game anymore.

Successful managers are nothing more than sanctioned bores with the 'expertise' of a playground bully.

err....sounds like you are a tad bit bothered....lol....

notice you didnt bother mentioning who u support......must be really dismal....
u think the quality of football in the league should be dropped so your team can have a shot at the title. don't hold your breath whilst waiting...
there are good teams and better teams (and horrible teams) in every sport in the world...
they have built in the early years their individual legacies on a world scale and so in this age of commercialism they will always be bought by rich people...the way the cookie crumbles

never lose hope maybe abramovic will choose your team next to try and buy some titles with......

I agree that they should have a salary cap. Some Ppl in the EPL earn ridiculous money for doing Fcuk all.
