I know liz Claibourne, Madonna, and afew others took the tuxedo, top hat , cigar and made pants something ladies could wear fashionably. They but a twist on gender and femininity.
Short hairstlyes were cool, and casual could be sexy for some ppl.
but who started most of this? And who are some there example of women doing this!?

Definately Katherine Hepburn, Marlena Dietrich and Audrey Hepburn. They made the pant look elegant and stylish at the same time.

Woody Allen's movie, "Annie Hall"..Dianne Keaton dressed "frumpy" in men's clothing, and the fashion industry followed. Katherine Hepburn dressed in men's clothing in "African Queen", where she boats downriver with Humphrey Bogart.
