Hmm, multiverse. I like it. Why stop at two?

So SS, what you are saying is, no matter how far we travel, we are in the same universe? How would we know? There are no signs or universe dividing lines. Suppose we crossed universes everyday? How do we know for sure if we are constantly planted in one universe?

the idea with those 'multiverses' was to explain possible other realities for sub-atomic particles.
This first came up with one theory called quantumnelectrodynamics, greatly brought forward by Richard Feynman and others, as a relief from the finding that specific particles (uhm just for the sake of giving it a name at that size) are capable travelling back in time.
The whole thing is really mindbending

actually it was thought of not having ONE ore TWO other universes, it was said that it could possibly be an infinite ammount of universes, as an explanation for every possible change that might could happen.

As an outcome you may imagine yourself and the world around you as being on a kind of path constanly changing the universes, from this very moment to the next, and so on.

at this stage it must become obvious that nothing much is predictable anymore at sub-atomic sizes.

You cannot have more than 1 universe by definition. Universe is the term used for everything. So you cannot have more than 1 universe.

you may have compartments within the universe. that is not equal to more than 1 universe.

however i do not personally believe in compartments as well. So far whatever evidence we have tells us that physics is same whereever we go. Chemistry/ chemicals are also essentially same. There may be some chemicals absent in solar system which may be found some where else but that is not going to change everything. That will only change the nature of a particular subcompartment of universe bit different compared to for example our subcompartment of universe, but not going to change everything.

In my opinion there is only 1 universe. you might travel billion billion billion billion light years from earth to some other very distant area of universe but I feel you will see same type of universe there also. You will have stars, solar like systems, planets, comets etc.

To have more than one universe; what a waste of space and energy! To me, its either one universe, or an infinity of universes. Anything in between would be arbitrary.

We like to call it the "multiverse."

We could have lots of them so I would refere to them as addverses.

There is only one reality, one day, one universe and one God.
