Because the present administration thinks we're all stupid enough to believe that being in Iraq IS fighting Al Qaeda in the war on terror.

This Iraq war is really upsetting, what a waste of money and lives, but the war on terrorism, whether it be the home front, Afghanistan, south Asia, or maybe Pakistan is ongoing and necessary. I think back to practicing ‘duck and cover’ as a kid, in the 1950’s for protection from the bomb. Mutually assured destruction protected us back then and I believe we were safer then we are today. If the Islamic fundamentalists get hold of or build a bomb they wouldn’t hesitate to use it, even knowing that such action would bring a full US strike. Let’s face it they value death more than life, because in death they get to go into the sky and hang out with virgins!

Because Pakistan is a nuclear armed 'ally.' You don't go attacking nuclear-armed states and you don't go attacking allies. So, you have to 'work with' your 'ally,' Pakistan to mount those offensive operations, and Pakistan is sufficiently sympathetic to the enemy that they insist on keeping such operatinos to a minimum. It's not that open, it's more a matter of obstruction, but it's basically what's going on.

If your IQ was above 100, you'd realize our presense in Iraq and Afghanistan is clearly needed when Iran tests one of it's nuclear warheads above ground, which will be in about 3-5 years.
Buuuut, you're just a typical hate mongering lib enjoying repeating the rants you hear on Air America thinking you're part of some gang so I'm not expecting much from you.

First. We need to stabilize Iraq enough so that they don't fall to Iran.
Second. Do you think that we should invade Pakistan?
