All you have to do is be quiet and shy. Also fragile. When the other girls talk about boys and they make fun of each other, act like you feel left out and nervous. At the end you just act like Danny is hardly man enough for you. That's not a hard question to answer. Trust me, I know how to play Sandy! I played her in our school last musical!! : )
Also, the movie is a little different that the actually musical, so watch out.
Study the part and you'll understand.

Well at first, act all innocent and stuff, then seem to want to change, but can't. Then act all flirty, but still be a little innocent. Last, but not least, you turn all out confident and not shy at all. Act like the bad girl you've always wanted to be in the end.

Get the script and analyze what Sandy wants. For example, does she want to re-connect with her boy-friend, find out if he loves her? etc.... and then find those situations and emotions inside of you that are similiar to how she feels.

Bring yourself to the part and you will know how she feels.

In the movie, Olivia Newton-John played her as innocent, naive and sweet.

I don't understand what you're asking. Read the text, listen to her songs and find the character that way. There's no one way to play any character, you need to find the qualities that you share with her and bring them out.

If you want to be an actor, you should be able to figure it out, without asking others. Actors never ask other actors how to perform a role.

Innocent, shy at first= then spunkier.
At end, very feisty with mock confidence.
