Circus Circus is the cheapest, but the food is awful. All of the "Station" casinos have reasonably priced, tasty buffets. Most of the places on Fremont Street are pretty good. The California, located at the end of Fremont Street across from the Plaza has a great breakfast menu, plus good .99 shrimp cocktails. The sandwiches and hot dogs are really good also.

Be sure and look for coupons both online and at whatever hotel you are staying at. A lot of the coupon books offer two for one, specials, etc.

Another tip for you. The breakfast is the cheapest buffet, then the lunch, then the dinner. However, if you go right at the end of the "breakfast" time (usually around 10:30) or at the end of the "lunch" buffet (varies), you catch it at the cheaper price but they are getting ready to change out all the food for the next meal. That way you get the meal for the cheaper price, and nobody care show long you stay and pick at your food.

If you want great buffets, not paying attention to costs, I'd suggest the Bellagio and the Rio. The Bellagio has a fantastic buffet with a lot of food you don't get anywhere else. If you go between lunch and supper it isn't a bad deal for such great food.

Also, generally the food on Fremont Street is cheaper than the food on the strip.

One last tip, there is a Thai restaurant called the Lotus of Siam which is located off the strip, is great, has a buffet and even the stuff on the menu is reasonable. It is one of the better Thai restaurants I've ever been to.

Go to Ellis Island, off the strip 1-2 blocks behind Bally's. They have a $4.95 steak special that can't be beat. I really enjoy it.

Also, if you're willing to share food the Peppermill is located past the Wynn before you get to the Riviera. It is a old timey looking diner that is open 24 hours a day. They have wonderful food and huge portions so definitely share something. The diner is family friendly, the lounge in the back is not.

There are also plenty of food courts around if you want to go cheap by eating fast food.

Excalibur has a decent buffet for families. It is not the greatest but it sure is family-friendly.

We ate as a family one-time at Circus Circus. We thought it was as bad as an Old Country Buffet and NEVER went back no matter how many circus acts they had for kids to see.

I also live in Vegas. What area do you live in? I suggest Village Pub, their food is very very good and cheap. They have specials every day and you get a soup or salad with it, me and my bf rarely spend more then $20.00 tip included in there. Plus, the decor in there is very nice and hey if you feel like some drinks then just go over the other side lol But yah def try out Pubs in Vegas, their food is cheap! = )

Stay off of freemont street, not a place for kids its lined with strip clubs & old casinos. Try going to the rainforest cafe in the MGM or a buffett at the Rio!!

Sugar Factory in Town Square! It's located right in the middle of the mall and it's great for lunch. I had the 4 Cheese Pizza when I went and I still can't get it out of my mind. Sugar Factory is great too because they have some great coupons, like half price pizza, burgers, apps, and cocktails Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm. You should check it out!

ewww! why is everyone mentioning buffets? the buffets here SUCK! don't listen to these people. they obviously don't know about quality food.

anyway, i would really love to help (i love food & i know where to go in this town!) but i need to know where abouts you are staying. are you staying on the strip? w/ family? friends? what part of town?

this will be helpful in trying to help you.
