The chicken. God created all the animals on the face of the Earth. Once the chicken was created that's when the eggs were laid.

I always like to answer this for people. This is a very logical answer. Dinosaurs slowly evolved down to the chicken we now know today. they did this slowly. Each time an egg hatched the dinosaur was a little different (I'm talking so little it took millions of years). This went on until finnaly an egg was layed that had the chicken we know today, and then it hatched and out popped a chicken. But, it came out of the slowly evolved egg, so your answer is the egg came first. Hope this helps!

Neither

Evolution is a gradual thing. There is no distinct line between one creature which is slightly less like a chicken and another that is slightly more like a chicken. There is no ideal "chicken" archeotype that you can compare against known chicken ancestors.

The precursor to the chicken eventually branched off to a species that gradually became more like the modern day chicken. Where you draw the line that says, "everything before is not a chicken and everything after is a chicken", is quite arbitrary.

What you meant to type: "Which came first...?" and you always wanted...
You might actually change the meaning of what you're trying to get across if you don't use good grammar.
