Well that might be so, but is that any excuse to live on a planet piled up with trash when it can be reused or recycled? I choose to live on the cleanest planet I can regardless of its future fate.
Recycling won't save the world, its just makes it a somewhat better place to live.

a super volcano or an asteroid impact would not kill off everything, and the likelihood of either of those happening is very small. in the meantime we try to keep the planet relatively clean and green. i mean it doesn't take much to bring in some aluminum cans or take some old newspapers to a green bin and in the end it usually saves you money

We are a throw-away society. Recyle enables us to reuse things maybe not in the same purpose or use but in another useful way. It keeps the landfils from filling up so fast.
I'm not holding my breath for the other 2 things you speak of. Meanwhile, we are saving our planet for even a few hundred years or maybe even a few million. You never know.

how cheerful. it's not really much of an effort to recycle. if you don't want to bother that is your choice, just carry on waiting for the objects from space and super eruptions.

well if you don't then there is three things that can destroy the plant. an asteroid or even a comet can be destroyed from space using nukes, volcanoes don't cause the end of life, but carelessness does.

Why do you get out of bed? Why do you eat? Drink? Bathe? You're just going to die someday, so what's the point?
Sounds stupid, doesn't it? We do what we need to do to ensure our survival, and recycling might be one of those things, both to ensure we have the resources to continue our current lifestyles into the future and ensure that we're not polluting our food and water sources with garbage.

The only thing which we will destroy the world, are the people living in it.
Re-cycling is good, if it can be used again, but it wont make a difference either way

It's difficult to say. We think we are helping by composting our kitchen waste, and then it turns out that worms are releasing vast amounts of greenhouse gas - you just can't be sure you're helping and not making everything worse. Oh Dear!

what if none of these things and we are stuck in a world full of rubbish and disease. Then your face would be red. Anyway is it really that much effort for you to put a plastic bottle in a different bin?
