i thought a law court is where one faced their acussers and and that wearing a hijab by juror, wittness or defendent would not be allowed. today a juror is found to be listerning to a mp3 player whilst at a murder trail (you've got to give it to these musslims as they grasp at western life with both hands whilst spouting cr*p) surely a court is no place for masks .or cover ups

nancy kay by mask i mean any facial covering. i picked on the hijab rightly or wrongly only because of todays news.how can we rely on a system where a juror in a murder trial can sit listning to her mp3 instead of what maybe vital evidence. if the headscarf was not allowed in court then she would not have been able to do this.

totally agree the only one who wore a head cover was the hangman or executioner! I would not like to face ANY person in a court who was hooded. Pleading my case to a scarfed face would be like pleading my case to a pillow. No emotion no facial expressions to interact with. No I don't agree with faces covered.
A court is for uncovering the truth and should have nothing hidden from view!!!

The fact that the juror was a Muslim is not the issue here.Anyone who did what she did is in contempt of court regardless of race or colour.I know some people will say that it is only because she was wearing a veil that she was spotted but I don't agree. Some of these MP3 players are so small that I think there could be other ways of sneaking them in.As a hearing aid, under a scarf or hat.It would cause trouble if they tried to stop a person from wearing their veil but they should have a system like getting a female of their own religion to check under the veil each time before she went into court.Seems a simple solution to me.

I think that the headscarf is ok because u can still see the womans face. However i do not agree with it when the face is covered except for the eyes which dart around. This is because if anything happens u cant identify a woman just by lookin at her eyes. i also think that in a western country they should embrace the culture more. westerners dont wear hijabs however when on holiday/biznez in muslim countrys they do as they are expected 2 and wear hijabs.

As it is part of religion and i wouldnt want to offend any1 i think that muslims in western countrys should be allowed 2 wear just a hijab which covers their hair not their whole face minus eyes

No you should not but we are a mard **** of a country and they can do what they want , also that bloody head wear to be polite nearly wrote my car off the other day when some potty cow nearly drove into the side of me she did not see me coming round a bend and just pulled out you need 360 vision when driving and you would be lucky if she had 20 percent vision , but the country will insist on being f'd up the backside and giving all the none contributing uk citisens all the rights bollocks to them all we are emigrating in a few years as i am not sending my catholic daughter to a school with a load of militants..ps i know that there are spelling mistakes i am to mad to care...

Anything that covers the face should have to be removed in a court of law.
Its an identity risk not to allow it.
And seriously, asking a Jewish man to remove his yarmulke is not quite the same thing considering it doesn't cover his face...that's just being stupid!!!

When in Rome, you do as the Romans do!!!
I'm not allowed to go to court wearing a Balaclava or a Motorbike helmet!!!

This is our country and the hijab should not be worn if they want wear it go back to own countries so they can wear it.If we went to their country we would be made to wear it so our way is different so you live as the people of the country you now live in.

covering the face maby shouldnt be allowed coz if she was not telling the truth or if someone else swapped places with he no one would tell??

and also in islam its not something a women HAS to wear its her choice?

but the hijab as in the headscarf would be silly if they dont allow it as hair doesnt speak or act??
if someone asked me to take off my headscarf i feel like their asking me to strip naked! seriously!

it would be a very big thing as it means so much to me!
and i love wearring it forr the sake of my religion!
it feels great!

Hijab?...Muslim?...a woman in a court??? Music?

You know, I think...I THINK...Muslims have their own music which they grasp with both hands?

I knew this story would get people going...It was daft of her, but she is young. How about we don't allow ourselves to hate this young woman just because she is a Muslim?

ADDED:

A forlorn hope in modern Britain obviously! How sad that we have become so hateful as a nation when we used to be famous for our tolerance and understanding.
