I personally don't think either her or Obama would strengthen the country. You need a war veteran or even better, a war hero like John McCain, who has experience with dealing with extreme pressure and dealing with the military to make this country strong. Unfortunately, McCain supported the bogus amnesty bill and he no longer has my vote, but he still has my respect. He is right about how it is wrong to leave Iraq and that withdrawing will lead to the terrorists getting stronger and rebuilding after we leave. We must stay there and I am sick and tired of the country having to aplogize for bringing democracy to countries like Iraq and Afghanistan because of a couple lefties who complain about every death that happens in war and they complain about every war when 3,000 allied troops could die in one battle during WWII, but the lefties were not allowed to complain because it would make us lose the war and they would be imprisoned and we won because they couldn't complain.

I was reconsidering McCain, until he pulled the amnesty stunt.

Yes, he is strong military, which is why I considered him in the first place. I like him. Why he flushed himself with amnesty, I do not know, but he did flush himself.

No to Obama. He is anti-war. A bad move in a war.

Hillary will govern according to the polls, and we see what that has gotten us already in Congress. Not to mention the flakiness of the media.

Sen. Clinton has several plans for strengthening national security. She is appalled, as are most of us, at our porous borders and poorly monitored ports. She has talked about attending to those problems. Also, she intends to form a world wide coalition of Allies to form a terrorist task force. This would involve a new organization in which every member country is fully involved in, melding intelligence information and forming task forces to respond to terrorist attacks all over the world. I hear her speak about this at a rally in Chicago. Sen. Clinton has every intention of leaving residual troops to protect our interests, she is not a stupid woman. She knows we cannot withdraw without attending to the Iraqis lazy attitude in solving their own political problems. She will put real pressure on them with real consequences, unlike our current President. She is committed to addressing the gaps that still remain between our intelligence agencies to avoid a similar confusion that occurred on 9/11. Sen. Clinton wants to wage a real war on terrorists, not remain locked into policing a civil war while Al Queda has tripled in size and is setting up cells all over the Middle East while we linger in Baghdad. I think she has a plan that makes more sense than we have heard in a long time.

On a side note, yes McCain has unimpeachable military experience no matter how you look at it. But he has gone off the boards lately, and will not be the candidate. To her credit Sen. Clinton has immersed herself in military matters since becoming a Senator and has served actively on the Arms Forces Committee for the last six years. I have seen general after general talk about being impressed with her knowledge of in depth military matters and they'll be a large number of them standing behind her when she is nominated. She has credibility with those who count when it comes to her military knowledge.

Huh? We need a war veteran or a war hero? It sounds like you are a Bush/Cheney supporter and approve of their actions. Neither is a war veteran or hero.

whatever she had to do, or say rather, to get your vote. but once its all said and done, she'll feed us all to the lions, so to speak, and save herself before anyone else. It called thinking only of herself, or being a politician.
