No, thinking is a temporal process of the brain limited in speed by neuronal limits of about 200mph. Thinking is a process that is continuous while conscious.

Thought processes depend on nerve impulses, which move about 600 feet per second, which is a tiny fraction of the speed of light.
I am sorry to have to say that all thoughts involve nerve impulses. When the kidnapper takes your blindfold off at the rim of the Grand Canyon, your brain must identify spatial cues, colors, concepts, and old memories (the pictures in your geography textbook) and assemble all of those to create an awareness of where you are and the significance of the image that has formed on your retina.
It seems instantaneous to us, but to, say, a PET scan machine, it's a really slow process.
Then they push you over the cliff, and it's all over, anyway.

First of all, I dont think this person asked about the speed of the biological processes of the brain. Rather, he is asking if that strange by-product of our brain, what we call "thoughts", is faster than light.
For example, imagine yourself blind-folded and brought to a lcoation. When you take your blind-fold off, at once and with totality, you soak in the majesty of the Grand Canyons. There was no "thinking" involved, the view is instantly "felt" and "realized" in our minds without any process occuring.
We must admit, the real substance of our thoughts cannot be expressed, let alone studied. It is, what it is. So who's to say thinking must follow the laws of physics?

Thinking is an electromagnetic activity in the brain, so even ignoring friction the electromagnetic pulses can't travel faster than the speed of light.

thinking is (as far as i know) a mixture of electric impulses combined with a few chemical reactions.
The actual speed is much lower than the speed of light.
It is not even in the range of the speed of sound.
An interesting aspect with thinking is that it was found that you sometimes start moving your limbs BEFORE you conciously think you do that a microsecond later.
so if you think thats something happening faster than light, cause you act faster than you think than it should disappoint you that both processes still happen at the same slow speed.

Thinking is a process the progresses in tenths of a second increments.
Any thing shorter than that does not register on the consciousness,

Your particular brand of thought seems to move in a circular fashion.
What ever made you think that your brain could defy the laws of physics??

thinking is not faster than light, it takes time for the neurons to fire up and send the signals around. it is fairly quick but not that quick
