Buy a nude-colored beige strappy sandal or slingback pump, especially if it's a daytime wedding.
Black shoes are a no-no with a short dress. They compete with your dress, because you have... wine colored dress..... bare legs.... black shoes. It's a question of contrast. Black might be OK if it's an evening wedding and you'll be wearing darker hosiery.
When you wear a jewel-toned dress or skirt, a neutral shoe looks classy and doesn't compete with the overall look. A nude shoe goes with pretty much everything, too, so you'll wear them again.
All that said, ask the bride what she prefers and go with her choice!

As its a knee length dress, I'm assuming its an afternoon wedding. I think bone/ecru might look better than black at that time of day. But you might want to address this question to the bride-to-be. She will generally coordinate the shoes as well as the dresses.

I have a burgundy strapless dress with a long, flowing skirt. It has a sort of "sunburst" design around the neckline in gold, so I wear my gold, strappy heels that I dance in and it looks fantastic.

Don't get a shoe that matches EXACTLY. That's actually very tacky. Wear gold or black shoes, with matching accessories (to the shoes, not the dress)

either a dyed shoe to match the dress or black anything else would draw attention to your feet first!
