Yeah, turtles are very territorial and will definetly fight/bite/flutter (waving claws in front of face up and down very fast). You should usually stay away from more than one turtle in a tank..

With three turtles you should consider an indoor/outdoor pond or some sort of monster tank like 240 gallons (Yes, I do know someone with a tank that big)..it is completley necessary..it is that or three 90 gallon setups as turtles need ten gallons of water per inch of shell.

Good luck.

The key to preventing aggression is space. If the tank is big enough, they won't usually fight. However- this means about 10 gallons of water per inch of turtle shell length. If you have a 4" turtle and a pair of 2" turtles, that would be 8" and need 80 gallons of water- or a mostly full 100 gallon tank.

Yes they will! I had one and my friend gave me hers and I put them in the tank together and mine killed the other one, it was very wierd but I guess it happens. Maybe if you put the one in a tank next to the othersa and they can get to know each other before you actually put them together???
