"the farther left Soros pushes the Democrats, the more dangerous they grow. The Party is becoming more cult-like and fanatical by the day. History teaches that a fanatical minority can prevail over a moderate majority. The Bolsheviks proved that in 1917. Before our eyes, the Democratic Party is transforming into a totalitarian cult, bent on seizing power by any means necessary. This is a time for vigilance, not complacency"

Good stuff, yes I agree. The far left is becoming Too militant and their seize power at all costs (even sacrafice the country to do so) is a scary proposition.

They know it is bad for the country, yet, they don't care. The ends justify the means in the Liberal mind.

One is totalitarian, the other is fascist. How will Americanism ever survive? While the media chums the political waters the elite sit back and watch the populace feed upon each other waiting for the strong to survive . They drool over the idea of exploiting a new cultural force of emancipated manifesto banditos.

What are you some old beat up assistant to Senator McCarthy the legendary scare mongerer .

What many experts are beginning to believe is that after some 3-4 decades of essentially conservative/Republican predominance,Americans thanks largely to Bush are realizing what frigging monumental hypocrites and liars (especially Bush and why the slaughter is going on in Iraq) the conservatives and Republicans .

Most profoundly ,Americans are at last realizing just how morally and ethically bankrupt conservatives/Republicans are.

The Democratic party today is far far right of where the party was 30 years ago so what the hell are you spewing?

I realize your ilk are scared to death that once in control, they will start doing things that conservatives/Republicans hate ;things like ending slavery and Jim Crow, introducing Social Security and Medicare along with a meriad of laws protecting ordinary Americans not just the rich individuals and corporations.

Hang onto your seat my little wing nut.

That's funny.

In fact, the Democratic Party has already been pulled so far right by Republicans and business interests that it is to the right of nearly all European and Canadian conservative parties, and even to the right of some Republican presidents like Nixon and Eisenhower.

A correction is needed when one party supports a president who does not believe in our constitutional system of checks and balances and appointed at least one justice to the Supreme Court who shares that belief, who rejects our historic commitment to civil and human rights, and who thinks he can make up excuses to invade any country he likes to give their natural resources to his cronies.

The Republican Party also seems to be pursuing policies designed to gut our middle class by making Americans compete with Third World workers for jobs while simultaneously making education and health care more expensive.

Most Democrats that the right considers radicals simply want their party to return to New Deal values, and abandon trying to be the OTHER corporate owned party (the one without religious nuts).

Our economic, civil liberties, and other ideas have a pretty solid basis is the writings of Jefferson, Tom Paine, and even in the policies of a Republican president like Abe Lincoln, who signed the Homestead Act, which strengthened an agricultural middle class for a couple of generations.

Yes, but no more that the Republican party has tilted dangerously too far to the right.

Neither of the major parties are anywhere near what any educated intelligent person could honestly consider moderate

Both are attacking the moderates from the wings effectively dividing them against each other.

A divided house cannot stand.
This is what both parties are counting on.

1. Yeah, better watch out. Someone might be contemplating a thought to the left of Nixon. 2. "a fanatical minority can prevail over a moderate majority". Are you, by any chance talking about right to lifers?, Evangelicals?, Exxon Mobile?, homophobes? neocons? If G.W., with his absolute Executive Privilage, isn't a totalitarian...

I don't think it's the party as a whole, just like I don't think all Republicans are too far to the right. I just understand and accept that there are radicals and extremists in every facet of life.

Just like I have many Muslim friends who abhor the practices of extremist Muslims in the world, yet do not abandon their faith even if they are subject to scrutiny and hatred. You cannot generalize an entire group of people based on the actions of a few.

It would be irresponsible and ignorant.

as coragryph (sic?) said above, both parties have moved to far from the center. The dems are bad at leadership and disorganized. The right is organized and scary at times.

Both sides need to move more towards the middle and find GOOD solutions rather that throw bombs at each other and cater to special interests.

"History teaches that a fanatical minority can prevail over a moderate majority"

This has been going on for the past decade with the Evangelicals and the right wing, not the left. The American people voted in record numbers to out the Republicans from the House and Senate because the will of the Majority was being hijacked by the Right wing. If anything the Democrats are letting us down by not doing enough.

The Democrats have been far leftist since the days of Patsy Schroeder, Les Aspin and Hubert Humphrey. Now we have the likes of Ted (The Swimmer) Kennedy, Dingy Harry Reid and Sweet Nancy Pelosi. I read yesterday that leftist Cindy Sheehan will run for Speaker if Pelosi don't submit impeachment preceedings on Bush in the next two weeks. Good grief....how far left can the Dems go?
