I rarely rinse my dishes and rarely have a problem with stuck on food. The only thing I do scrape or rinse off is large pieces of food. I use Cascade or Finish gel packets. I do run my dishwasher on the longest, hottest cycle....is your hot water tank turned up high enough to make good hot water? Do you make sure to run the hot water faucet so hot water is going into the dishwasher and not cool or cold? (even if your dishwasher is built in, running the hot water faucet closest to the dishwasher allows hot water to run into the machine right away). I have a Sears Kenmore dishwasher that is over 10 years old and it works like a champ.....if I remember to do the above.

Depends how long the food sat on your dishes and also the quality of your dishwasher. Definitely use hot water!!!

No.
You have to have the nearest available dog lick them all for them to get clean.
